Christopher Pike and the Thirst Series

Christopher Pike is one the most entertaining YA authors I have come across. If you have not read his Thirst series you must check it out. Thirst is a New York Times bestseller series.

The Thirst series was originally known as The Last Vampire Series. The first book in The Last Vampire series was published in 1994, The Last Vampire 2: Black Blood was also published first in 1994, The Last Vampire 3: Red Dice was first published in 1995, The Last Vampire 4: Phantom, The Last Vampire 5: Evil Thirst and The Last Vampire 6: Creatures of Forever were published in 1996.

he first 3 books in the series were rebranded and republished in 2009. The Last Vampire Series became the Thirst series. Thirst No. 1: Omnibus contains The Last Vampire 1, 2 and 3 published in 2009. Thirst No. 2: Omnibus contains The Last Vampire 4, 5 and 6 published in 2010.

Thirst 1 narrates the epic tale of Alisa, a five thousand-year-old vampire. She is on the run from her maker who wants her dead. As she prepares herself for the fight of her life she finds a man named, Ray, with a connection to her that can save her immortal life. Alisa falls in love with Ray and realizes that there is more on the line than just her life.

The first new book in the series since 1996 is entitled Thirst No. 3:  The Eternal Dawn published in 2010.  Thirst 3 picks up right where Thirst 2 left off. Thirst No. 4: The Shadow of Death was published in 2011. The last book in the series dues far was Thirst No. 5: The Sacred Veil published in 2013. The Thirst series is a thrill ride. It will have you hooked after reading just one.
