Booktalking "Looking Out For Sarah" by Glenna Lang
Perry tells the world what it is like to be Sarah's seeing-eye dog. He enjoys getting groomed, walking with Sarah and working with her. He looks out for her by making sure that she does not cross the street when it is not safe and that she does not walk into branches in the woods. He is allowed to spend all of his time with Sarah, and he can go places where other dogs are not allowed. He goes to the Post Office with Sarah, he rides on the subway train with her, and sits in on her musical performances at the schools with the kids. He even walked the 300 miles from Boston to New York City with her. Best of all, though, Perry loves his daily play sessions with a tennis ball. He never gets tires of fetching the ball.
