Celebrate Bronx Week through the lens of film at the Bronx Library Center!

For three days, join us for a film exhibition centered and created by Bronx Residents! We will be watching 3 films highlighting and celebrating the rich history of the arts in the Bronx.  . 

Day One will be the documentary From Mambo to Hip-Hop, a film about how Mamba infulenced the sound and style of early Hip-Hop.

Day Two will be the film Beat Street, a story about two brohters who eat, sleep, and live Hip-Hop. Set during the early 80's, this film showcases the South Bronx during the birht of Hip-Hop Culture. 

Day Three will be the film Story Ave, the story follows a teenage graffiti artist who'se unlkely encounter with a MTA worker changes both of their lives forever. 

We will be holding discussions after each film! Come and join our discussions after the film!
