NER BECK’s NYC Street Oddities: A Photo Exhibit

Ner Beck returns to the Grand Central Branch with a new collection of photographs of odd and unusual unnoticed street art. See city trees with human expressions, smiling fire hydrants, living mannequins with translucent stained glass colors, scary traffic cones, discarded unhappy food items and even funny trash. They all come alive and speak to the viewer, expressing human emotions in a weird and wonderful way. A New York City graphic artist and designer, Ner has had a long-time interest in overlooked street art. “As New Yorkers hurriedly target their destinations they tend to aim themselves straight ahead, frequently missing these overlooked gems. These quirky little visual stories have always been there, some are permanent and others may suddenly disappear. Look for them, they are everywhere, waiting to be noticed and enjoyed.”
