Holiday Gift Suggestions From The New York Public Library
NOVEMBER 17, 2014 – This year, New Yorkers should do their holiday shopping with patience, fortitude, and The New York Public Library’s 2014 Holiday Gift Guide.
The Library has a wide variety of bookish gifts for literary loved ones at its Readers & Writers Shop, including t-shirts, totes, book sets, jewelry made out of typewriter keys, and marble bookends depicting the iconic library lions, Patience and Fortitude.
Staff from the shop have chosen select items for its shopping guide, which is broken into categories such as “kids” and “under $25.” All items can be purchased at the physical shop, located on the first floor of the landmark Stephen A. Schwarzman Building on Fifth Avenue and 42nd Street, or online at http://shop.nypl.org. Purchases help support the Library and its free programs, services, and classes.
