How to Get Vaccinated

Every state is managing their vaccine distribution differently, including who can currently get vaccinated, how the appointment process is managed, and what you need to know to get vaccinated. Check out the links below for information about getting vaccinated in the New York area. For information about vaccination procedures where you are, consult your state government website.

NYC Vaccine Finder

  • Find vaccination sites located in the Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, and Staten Island by zip code. Appointments can also be made by phone: Call 1-877-VAX-4NYC (1-877-829-4692), 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Language translation is available.

COVID Vaccine—NY State

  • For New York State residents who are unsure about their COVID vaccine eligibility.

NY State COVID-19 Test Site Finder

  • There are over 100 convenient testing sites across the city. Find a testing site near you.

Get up-to-date information about the COVID-19 vaccines, including which are available, their safety and effectiveness, and how they’re being distributed.    

Understanding How COVID-19 Vaccines Work

  • Information from the CDC about the approved COVID-19 vaccines.

Third Doses for People with Weakened Immune Systems

  • Separate from booster shots, people who are moderately to severely immunocompromised (meaning they have a weakened immune system) are eligible for a third dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine, as part of their initial vaccination series. They can get a third dose 28 days after their second shot.

  • Get a free test through NYC Health and Hospitals to see if you have COVID-19 Antibodies.

COVID-19 Vaccine Records 

  • If you are fully vaccinated but lost your COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card or need verification of your vaccine status, you can request a copy of your COVID-19 vaccination record. Go here for more information.

  • New York State recently changed its guidance on how long people need to isolate after testing positive for COVID-19 or quarantine after exposure. Go here for more information.
