11/15: Daniel Mendelsohn with Rebecca Mead: Fathers, Heroes, Sons Rebecca Mead joins with award- winning memoirist Daniel Mendelsohn as he shares his tale of his father when he found out his father was enrolled in his undergraduate Odyssey seminar at Bard College. 7PM, Stephen A. 11/16-11/18: Lapidus Center Conference: Reckoning with Slavery: Thirty-one scholars from the U.S and other countries will present new research on abolition, Civil War and Reconstruction. The Schomburg Center
11/17: Theater of War Productions' Hercules in Mott Haven: The city's Public Artist in Residence, Theater of War Productions, creates free, interactive performances and conversations on important issues. Actors will read scenes from an ancient play about the unspeakable act of violence. 5:30PM, Mott Haven Library
11/18: Theater of War Productions' Addition Performance Project: This event will present dramatic readings of Act Three of Eugene O' Neills Long Day's Journey into Night that will lead into guided discussions about drug abuse and addiction. 6PM, St. George Library.
11/20: Pulsations: Electro- acoustic composer Yael Acher "KAT" Modiano performs a live premiere score to Ken Jacobs visionary silent film Sky Socialist. 6PM, Library for the Performing Arts.
11/21: Call Me By Your Name: Luca Guadagnino with Andre Aciman: Director Luca Guadagnino and novelist Andre Aciman come to NYPL to celebrate the release of the new film Call Me By Your Name, a melancholic tale of first love and youthful exploration. 6:30 PM, Stephen A. Schwarzman Building.
11/27: Astro Poets: Dorothea Lasky and Alex Dimitrov: Twitter's favorite poet- astrologers will read a part of their new books and discuss the connections between poetry, pop culture, and stargazing. 6:30PM, Stephan A. Schwarzman Building.
11/29: The Chickenshit Club: Why the Justice Department Fails to Prosecute Executives: Pulitzer- Prize winning Journalist Jesse Einsinger will talk about corporate corruption and the response-or lack there of- from the Department of Justice. 6:30PM, Mid-Manhattan at 42nd Street.
11/29: The World Broke in Two: Bill Goldstein will speak with Margo Jefferson as they discuss about Bill's new book which shows the intersecting lives of Virginia Woolf, T.S Eliot, D.H Lawrence and E.M. Forster in 1922 where modernism was born. 6:30 PM. Stephen A. Schwarzman.

11/15: Traditional Media Versus Social Media Jobs: Join in on a discussion with Andy Limpus as he talks about the latest hiring trends and what are the desirable skills hiring managers are looking for in the job market. 6PM, Science, Industry and Business Library.
11/16: CEO Series: Mitzi Perdue: Daughter of the founder of Sheraton Hotels, widow of poultry magnate Frank Perdue and entrepreneur, Mitzi Perdue will talk how to make buisinesses grow and fast. 6 PM, Science, Industry and Business Library.
