Learn about how HUD approved Housing Counseling agencies can assist with buying a home, renting, default, foreclosure avoidance, credit issues or reverse mortgages. Also, Robert Weber discusses HUD programs to safeguard renters ie. fighting unfair evictions, providing legal assistance, keeping people housed, and connecting people with rent and utility relief. Learn to locate and contact these agencies when you need assistance or advice on any housing issue. A NYC housing counseling agency representative has been invited to join the webinar to help with NYC questions. Presented by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development.

About The Presenters:

Robert Weber

Robert Weber is a Housing Program Specialist in the Office of Outreach and Capacity Building (OCB), in HUD’s Office of Housing Counseling (OHC). The Mission of OCB is to train and certify housing counselors and increase public awareness of HUD’s housing counseling programs. HUD seeks to enable all families to obtain, sustain and retain their homes and accomplishes its mission through a strong network of housing counseling agencies and counselors.
 

Angella Cummings is a HUD-certified Housing Counselor in New York at Neighborhood Housing Services (NHS) Brooklyn Community Development Corporation, Inc.
