The City Bar Justice Center (Justice Center) furthers access to justice by addressing unmet civil legal needs of New Yorkers struggling with poverty and other systemic barriers, and provides free, high-quality legal services that benefit more than 23,000 New Yorkers each year. Ramona Morel is a bankruptcy attorney with the Justice Center. She is the Director of the Consumer Bankruptcy Project, which provides legal bankruptcy assistance to New York City residents with limited financial resources burdened with credit card, medical, and student loan debt. Jennifer Arocha is the project coordinator/assistant for the Consumer Bankruptcy Project.
