About the Battery Park City Library

The Battery Park City Branch is New York Public Library's first green LEED certified-branch in Manhattan.
The bright, 10,000 square-foot, two-story building opened on March 15, 2010 and houses a collection of more than 23,000 items. It features a reading area for adults and young adults, as well as a special children's reading area and multipurpose programming space. It offers access to 19 public computers and a wide range of services for the community.
